Adopt-A-Senior

The Office for Aging’s annual Christmas program, Adopt-A-Senior supports older adults who may be overlooked, isolated or alone during the holiday season. Adopt-A-Senior for Christmas shows older adults in our community that they are valued and thought of during the holidays by providing gifts and a nice Christmas dinner for those living alone at home. In most cases, sadly these are the only gifts they will receive. Due to the overwhelming community support of this program we have been able to expand and include folks who are placed in Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities. Unfortunately, loneliness exists even when living in group situations, and people with little or no family to visit are so often forgotten.

How to Sponsor

If you have some holiday cheer to spare, please join us by choosing a name from our tree. Each gift listed is an item that the individual has told us they need or would love to receive.

Wrapped gifts are due in our office by December 15th. It is important to tag each gift with the seniors name and tag #. Gifts will be delivered the week of Christmas. If you would prefer to make a monetary donation you may do that as well.

Please call our office with any questions, and we wish you a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!
